Status of Training Classes for 2020:
I am not likely to have any classes in 2020. The folks at WDFW are very supportive of this training; however, they found that current state law does not really allow for me to retain a wild Washington snake for these classes. Rather than trying to change state law, the solution is to legally obtain a snake in Idaho or Oregon and import it with a permit from the Department of Agriculture. This is the path I am going to take, I just don’t see completing all the steps in time to resume classes this year.
I have been conducting these classes since 2011 and intend to resume as soon as I can.
